Foster Carer Discussion Group at Leeds Castle
Staff and carers from our Whitstable fostering team came together at Leeds Castle in Kent to celebrate it's 900th birthday and experience the ‘Festival of Flowers’.
We’re always thinking of new and exciting ideas for our Discussion Groups and so last month, we decided to do something a little different. Staff and carers from our Whitstable fostering team came together at Leeds Castle in Kent to celebrate it's 900th birthday and experience the ‘Festival of Flowers’.
The castle was transformed both inside and out with spectacular floral displays. Luckily, the weather was on our side - with the sun shining all day long - as we explored the grounds and admired the vibrant displays throughout.
Rebecca, who has been fostering with ISP since 2015, said: “The life of foster carers with little ones as we have, can be incredibly busy. So what better way to relax and recharge while our children are safely settled in school, than to join our Whitstable colleagues for a day at Leeds Castle to celebrate 900 years?"
"Taking in the beauty as we walked from room to room in the castle, we were amazed by the significant flower displays and sweet floral smells that filled the air.”
Thank you to everyone who joined us - it was lovely to see so many of our foster carers there. We have received some excellent feedback following the Discussion Group and we hope to plan more events like this in the future!
