Our South London fostering centre is based in Sutton and has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ by Ofsted for 20 years. We support a passionate team of foster parents in South London and Greater London, alongside our Enfield centre.
As a specialist therapeutic foster care agency, we work with children and young people who have more complex needs. With almost 40 years’ experience in therapeutic foster care, we’ve developed a package of wrap-around support for foster carers that includes an entire team of experts available to them and the young people in care.
While our support is unrivalled, it’s also important that our families are able to build connections with other foster families. We host regular events including themed parties, summer holiday activities and our annual ISP Fun Day, as well as an awards event every year to recognise the achievements of our foster families and children.
As well as a specialist training and support package, foster parents also receive a generous fostering allowance – up to £2,982 per month, plus additional allowances and rewards.

The ISP Therapeutic Approach
We believe therapeutic foster care should help children and young people understand who they are and reach their emotional, social and educational potential. Every child at ISP sits at the centre of their support, with care plans tailored to their individual needs.
We bring together a team of foster parents, therapists, social workers and educational specialists who work collaboratively to support each young person’s emotional and psychological development. This enhanced level of therapeutic support for children in care gives every young person the opportunity to lead healthy, happy lives.
Children receive an individual treatment plan created by our in-house therapists, which may include:

Foster parents are part of the therapeutic team and receive training and ongoing guidance to help them understand a child’s experiences and respond in ways that help them feel safe, understood and more able to manage their emotions.
