At ISP, we’ve been supporting foster parents for over 35 years and were the first independent fostering agency in the UK to introduce therapeutic fostering. We specialise in helping carers support children who have experienced trauma, providing you with the skills, confidence, and ongoing guidance to succeed.
Whether you’re completely new to fostering or looking to transfer from another agency, you’ll receive comprehensive training and 24/7 support from our experienced team.
Becoming a foster parent in Southwark
Becoming a foster parent is a meaningful and rewarding journey. You’ll be providing a safe, stable home where a child can begin to rebuild trust, develop confidence, and move forward positively.
The process is often more straightforward than people expect. Our fostering assessment typically takes around 4-6 months, although we always work at a pace that feels right for you and your circumstances.
