The team provides high-quality foster care, therapy and educational support for looked after young people in and around Enfield and Cateram, and are responsible for respite, emergency and long and short-term fostering placements for over 50 children.
We were praised by inspectors for ‘providing highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good and contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people’.
Ofsted commented: “Young people make exceptional progress with the support of committed and dedicated foster carers. Foster carers are extremely well trained and advocate very strongly on behalf of the young people.”
They also added that “Young people excel in their education with many assessed as being ‘gifted and talented’, and some are preparing to attend university.”
Since their last inspection in February 2016, which was also judged as ‘outstanding’, Ofsted stated that ‘the agency had grown since the last inspection and have maintained extremely high standards of care.’
Carers also report exceptionally high levels of satisfaction of working in a culture where they constantly feel valued and always offered mutual support. One commented: “It’s like a big family, we all look out for each other.”
