Whitstable fostering agency
Founded over 30 years’ ago, our Whitstable fostering centre has been training and supporting first-class therapeutic foster carers across Kent, alongside our Teynham and Rainham centres, and making a life-changing difference to lives of children in care.
Situated just a stone’s throw away from the seafront, our centre provides a warm and welcoming environment for foster families and young people to enjoy various meetups, training and family events together, including our fortnightly foster parent lunches, where we cover a variety of different subjects, such as living with trauma and working with gangs.
Since the early days, we’ve always recognised that with the right care, support and therapeutic services, children and young people who were not given the best starts in life, can grow into confident, happy and successful adults.
Over many years, we’ve developed a series of in-house support services and expertise that foster carers and young people can lean on whenever they need it. These services include an extensive training programme for therapeutic foster care, 24/7 helpline with a qualified social worker, regular supervision and mentoring, as well as therapy and educational support for children.
Plus, our Whitstable team is led by Registered Manager, Alison Capp, who’s been fostering for over 16 years and has an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day challenges experienced as a foster carer and the support required from an agency.
Alongside this unrivalled support, you’ll receive a generous fostering allowance – between £440 and £580 per week, depending on your level of experience and training – plus additional allowances and rewards, so you can dedicate your time and energy into the children in your care.
