Whitstable fostering agency
Founded over 35 years ago, we've been training and supporting first-class therapeutic foster carers in Kent - alongside our Rainham and Teynham centres - and making a life-changing difference in the lives of children in care.
Situated just a stone’s throw away from the seafront, our Whitstable fostering centre provides a warm and welcoming environment for foster families and young people to enjoy various meetups, training and family events together. This includes our fortnightly foster parent lunches, where we cover a variety of different subjects, such as living with trauma and working with gangs.
Since the early days, we’ve consistently recognised that with the right care, support and therapeutic services, children and young people who were not given the best starts in life can grow into confident, happy and successful adults.
Over many years, we’ve developed a series of in-house support services and expertise that foster carers and young people can lean on whenever they need it. These services include an extensive training programme for therapeutic foster care, a 24/7 helpline with a qualified social worker, regular supervision and mentoring, as well as therapy and educational support for children.
Alongside this unrivalled support, you’ll receive a generous fostering allowance – up to £612 per week, per child, depending on your experience and training.– plus additional allowances and rewards so that you can dedicate your time and energy to the children in your care.
We're urgently looking to recruit foster parents across Kent, including Canterbury, Folkestone, Herne Bay and surrounding areas.
Events for the family
Getting to know other foster families is important, so we arrange lots of events throughout the year for the whole family to enjoy.
Whether it’s tobogganing or trips to a local wildlife park, castle adventures or exploring the Hythe and Dymchurch railway, it’s always a great day for all.
We also like to bring our families together from across the country at our annual ISP Fun Day, where there’s a free funfair, circus, activities, football tournaments, music, food and more.
