Thinking of fostering in Southampton?
Established in 2004, our Southampton fostering team provides specialist therapeutic training and support to foster parents across Hampshire and Dorset, so they can make a long-lasting difference to the lives of young people in foster care.
Situated in the heart of the New Forest on 14 acres of private grounds, the centre offers a tranquil setting for staff, foster parents and children to connect in a safe, therapeutic, family environment and is ideal for regular training and support groups, 1:1 supervision, therapy, birth family contact, family events and more.
We have a close-knit community of foster parents, who offer invaluable support and guidance to those just starting their fostering career, as well as a dedicated professional team of social workers, therapists, educational experts and fostering advisors too. Alongside group reflective sessions and ongoing training at the centre, we also host regular foster parent lunches to provide our families with a vital opportunity to share experiences, learn from others and build up their support network.
At ISP, we’ve been working with children and young people with complex needs for over 30 years and have developed an all-encompassing range of services and expertise to help foster parents support these children and make extraordinary progress in care.
When you join our team, you’ll benefit from wrap-around support from a dedicated team of professionals, regular supervision, a 24/7 helpline with a social worker and a generous fostering allowance – up to £612 per week, per child, depending on your experience and training.
