Our Enfield fostering centre has been training and supporting a close-knit team of therapeutic foster parents in Enfield and the surrounding North London boroughs for 20 years.
Together with our Caterham fostering centre, we work with local authorities across London to provide children and young people with the best possible care and achieve extraordinary outcomes.
At ISP, we’ve had almost 40 years’ experience working with children and young people with complex needs and have developed a package of specialist support services and expertise to ensure that foster carers receive all the help they need to make a long-lasting difference. These services include an ongoing therapeutic care training programme, 24/7 helpline with a qualified social worker, regular supervision and mentoring, as well as therapy and educational support.
As well as a specialist training and support package, foster carers also receive a generous fostering allowance – up to £2,982 per month, per child, plus additional allowances and rewards.

Fostering is open to people from a wide range of backgrounds. You can foster with ISP if you:

The ISP Therapeutic Approach
We believe therapeutic foster care should help children and young people understand who they are and reach their emotional, social and educational potential. Every child at ISP sits at the centre of their support, with care plans tailored to their individual needs.
We bring together a team of foster parents, therapists, social workers and educational specialists who work collaboratively to support each young person’s emotional and psychological development. This enhanced level of therapeutic support for children in care gives every young person the opportunity to lead healthy, happy lives.
Children receive an individual treatment plan created by our in-house therapists, which may include:

Foster parents are part of the therapeutic team and receive training and ongoing guidance to help them understand a child’s experiences and respond in ways that help them feel safe, understood and more able to manage their emotions.
This approach gives young people the opportunity to grow, heal and build healthier relationships.
