As an ISP foster parent, you'll receive a generous fostering allowance that's generally completely tax-free.

Throughout your fostering career with us, you'll have the opportunity to increase how much you receive by developing your skills through our training, such as our City & Guilds Assured Therapeutic Pathway.

Founders of therapeutic fostering

One thing which makes us stand out from other fostering agencies is our dedication to delivering a truly therapeutic style of foster care. Developed here by our in-house professionals, therapeutic fostering is now widely recognised.

When you join us, you’ll be trained as a therapeutic foster parent, and will enjoy our excellent training which is assured by City & Guilds.

Our Therapeutic Pathway training is completed in person at our South London fostering office, giving you the chance to meet other foster parents and build your support network further.

Who can foster?

Providing you are over the age of 21, have the legal right to work in the UK and have a spare room, you could become a foster parent.

Our foster parents come from a range of different backgrounds and experiences, and factors such as your relationship status, gender, sexuality and cultural background will not be a barrier to you becoming a foster parent.

You also don’t need experience of caring for children in a professional or personal setting—our assessment process and excellent preparatory training will ensure you have all the skills you need.
